���ϳԹ��� School of Law alumnus Martin Gruenberg (LAW '79) will become acting chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) following the resignation of Jelena McWilliams, an appointee of the Trump administration who has held the post since 2018. McWilliams’ last day will be Feb. 4.

���ϳԹ��� School of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Aaron Perzanowski has been appointed the John Homer Kapp Professor of Law. This chaired professorship was previously held by former Dean Peter Gerhart, who passed away in February 2021.

Familiar faces abound at ���ϳԹ���. But there’s one person in particular who people may recognize from more than simply a passing glance on the quad; his is a familiar face from the big screen.

Jessie Hill, the Judge Ben C. Green Professor of Law and associate dean for research and faculty development at ���ϳԹ��� School of Law, has been interviewed by several prominent national and international media outlets regarding abortion and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

A year-long collaboration between U.S. Congressman Michael Turner (LAW ’85) and U.S. Marine Capt. Dylan Klossner (LAW ’15) has resulted in the filing of an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court.

When an international crisis hits, Christopher Rassi (CWR ’00; GRS ’00, political science; MGT ’03; LAW ’03) likely is in the thick of it.

Leon Gabinet, longtime tax law professor at the ���ϳԹ��� School of Law, passed away on Dec. 6, 2021, at age 94. He is survived by his children Sarah (LAW '82), Katie and Ari, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
