Music Graduate Student Orientation

All new and continuing graduate students are expected to attend. All Department of Music sessions will be held remotely. Students who have extenuating circumstances should contact their program coordinator no later than August 10, 2020 (see below).

Lute Society of America

Cleveland Lute Fest 2020

Location: ���ϳԹ���

This week-long festival is dedicated to vihuela, lute, theorbo, and early guitars. This program offers world-class concerts from renowned performers, private lessons, masterclasses, workshops, and specialized courses. The ���ϳԹ��� Department of Music contributes to LSA by providing classroom, rehearsal and performance facilities.

DMA Recital | Daniel Fridley

Songs of Rage and Grief: Echoes of Polyphemus

Location: Harkness Chapel

Daniel Fridley presents vocal works of various periods and nationalities, reflecting on the emotions of grief and rage through the focusing lens of the character of Polyphemus. The recital is presented as partial fulfillment of the Doctoral of Musical Arts in Historical Performance Practice at ���ϳԹ���.

A program featuring ���ϳԹ��� string and piano students as they perform varied chamber music masterpieces.

A program featuring ���ϳԹ��� student pianists performing collaborative works.

DMA Recital | Guillermo Salas Suarez

Guillermo Salas Suarez, a graduate student of the ���ϳԹ��� Historical Performance Practice program, performs his DMA recital in Harkness Chapel. Works by Bach, Leclair, Herrando, and Bertali.

Woodwind and Brass Music Concert

Location: Harkness Chapel

Chamber Music featuring all instruments from the Baroque to the present day. An eclectic mix of beauty, styles, genres and instrumentations with something for everyone. Experience chamber music as it was intended, up close and personal!
