The Core Mac Computer Lab

A microphone used for recording in the computer lab

The Core (Haydn Hall, 16) is a Macintosh computer classroom and creative lab dedicated to mind, sound, and vision. It serves as a collaborative space for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students, faculty, staff, and the University Circle community to gather, experiment, and design in both visual and aural mediums.

In addition to computers and industry-standard software, The Core offers cameras and microphones for checkout, one-on-one tutorials, group classes, and a flexible meeting space.

We recommend each student bring a flash drive and/or portable external hard drive to transfer projects and back up work between personal devices and campus computers.

Whether you’re a first-year student learning how to digitally notate music, or a community member exploring new ways to integrate technology into daily life, The Core provides a welcoming space for learning and creativity.
