General Rules for Combined Bachelor's/Master's Degree Program

The Combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Degrees (CBMD) (formerly Integrated Graduate Studies- IGS) is intended for highly motivated current ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø undergraduate students who are candidates for any bachelor's degree and whose objective is to complete a Masters of Science in Pathology. Qualified students may be admitted to the MA program and pursue the simultaneous completion of requirements for both the master’s and bachelor’s degrees. 


The Masters of Science in Pathology program is open to students from all majors and plans of study. Interest from students comes in a variety and with unique goals which includes but is not limited to:

  • Pre-health students who wish to strengthen their professional program applications while also enriching their health care training with a grounding in critical ethical issues and perspectives;
  • Pre-PhD students who want to strengthen their doctoral applications and deepen their research training by gaining a solid grounding in critical ethical issues and perspectives in health care;
  • Undecided students who are exploring for the next steps in their career paths.

The deadline to apply for a Fall the CBM program is March 1. View application requirements.

Spring deadline is November 15 (students must be approved by program director).
