Self-Paced Digital Accessibility Training for Faculty

One of the Core Value areas guiding ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is Inclusiveness and Diversity, which includes providing accessible digital content. Accessible digital content refers to information, media, or materials designed and presented to make them easy to understand, use, and navigate to the greatest extent possible. This course is designed to help you quickly get started with digital accessibility.

How to Use the Course

Log in using your ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø credentials for secure access to the course materials. Follow the structured learning path, progressing through each module at your own pace. Complete all quizzes and activities to demonstrate your mastery of the material. Upon successful completion, you'll be eligible to earn the Digital Accessibility Champion badge. 

Join the Training

In this training, you will learn to create accessible digital content using alt text, headings, color contrast, captions, and key tools like UDOIT. For more information, check out the course objectives below! 

Course Objectives

Those who complete this course can expect to be able to:

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Use software and platforms to help create accessible course content.
  • Grasp core digital accessibility concepts and the importance of accessible design.
  • Access and test commonly available accessibility checkers to check the accessibility of the created documents.
  • Identify ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø personnel and departments available to assist with digital accessibility concerns.
