Alan Light, former editor-in-chief of Spin and Vibe magazines, a frequent contributor to The New York Times and Rolling Stone, and the author of The Holy or the Broken: Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley and the Unlikely Ascent of “Hallelujah,” will give the 18th Annual Music Masters Keynote Lecture and Conversation.
His speech, titled “What a Drag It is Getting Old: The Challenges and Triumphs of the Latter-Day Rolling Stones,” will examine the Rolling Stones and the triumphs and challenges of their longevity.
The presentation will take place Thursday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. in Allen Memorial Medical Library Building’s Ford Auditorium.
This event is free and reservations are not required. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Light also will be on campus Friday, Oct. 25, for "A Conversation and Q&A with Alan Light," which will take place at 12:30 p.m. in Clark Hall 309.
