Apply to be a Civic Engagement Scholar

The Civic Engagement Scholars program—coordinated by the Center for Civic Engagement and Learning (CCEL)—gives students the opportunity to complete civic engagement activities and participate in learning related to our community. Undergraduate and graduate students of all majors can participate.

Students can volunteer with one nonprofit or many, join CCEL-hosted experiences, or find opportunities on their own. They can also choose a civic engagement activities track of 25 hours or 45 hours and switch anytime. The 45-hour track can also count toward the UGER Local and Global Perspective. CCEL will share ideas and support students along the way.

Interested students should complete the enrollment form by Wednesday, Sept. 17. Visit the Scholars Requirements page for more information or contact CCEL’s associate director Erin Corwin.
