CCEL Serves offers students a variety of structured opportunities to get involved in community service. Students can opt to serve one time or once in a while through Flex Serves, or on a weekly basis throughout a semester with Semester Serves. Check out available opportunities on the CCEL website.
Semester Serves opportunities require a weekly volunteer commitment at the same organization throughout one semester, beginning in mid-September. opportunities opens on Thursday, Aug. 28. Transportation is provided by a CCEL Student Leader.
are ongoing throughout the semester and are listed on CampusGroups as they become available. Registration for each event opens two weeks prior to the date of service. Opportunities include packing and sorting at the Food Bank or MedWish, serving a hot meal, or assisting with community food and resource distributions.
CCEL Serves Leaders
Interested in leading and serving? Become a CCEL Serves Student Leader! Each Semester Serves and Flex Serves activity is led by one-to-two CCEL Student Leaders who enhance the volunteer experience for students, as well as the experience of our partners and the community members they serve.
Student leaders will help:
- Get students to and from these opportunities (especially if you are willing and able to drive a CCEL mini-van!)
- Keep students safe, engaged and informed
- Help students think critically about their experiences
- Liaise with our community partners on site.
