WEWS: Jonathan Ernest, assistant professor of economics at Weatherhead School of Management, said that if tariffs are being used as a bargaining tool, they could ease relatively quickly. But if they’re part of a larger plan to bring more industry back to the U.S., the increases could last “for years, if not decades,” he said.
