Spartans Step Up: “Entrepreneurship”

The Alumni Association of ϳԹ will continue Spartans Step Up, a series of webcasts focusing on ϳԹ’s approach to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fifth installment, titled “Entrepreneurship,” will debut Thursday, July 16, at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT.

This session will focus on which ventures survived and which met their demise due to COVID-19 and why, current trends in business, how COVID-19 has affected investors, and advice for today’s entrepreneurs. 

, executive director of ϳԹ’s Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship and associate professor of design and innovation for the , will moderate an expert panel featuring ϳԹ alumni:

  • Eric Hanson (CWR ‘01), partner, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP (WilmerHale); 
  • Alex Derbes (CWR ‘00), portfolio manager for Gilder Gagnon Howe & Co.; and 
  • Ram Fish (CWR ‘95; GRS ‘95, computer engineering), founder & CEO of 19Labs.
