Just in time for the Spartan football team’s first home kickoff of the season, ϳԹ is upping the game this week with Blue ϳԹ Fridays—an initiative designed to spur school spirit across campus. Beginning this week, members of the ϳԹ community are encouraged to dress in university apparel every Friday—including a new shirt designed especially for this campaign.
To purchase the limited-edition ϳԹ shirt for just $15, visit the this week and pay using a credit card. Shirts can be picked up in front of Adelbert Hall on the Case Quad on Thursday, Sept. 12, from noon to 3 p.m. (rain location is the Tinkham Veale University Center lobby). The supply is limited, but select sizes may be available for purchase on site. ϳԹ gear is always available at the .

As an added incentive, faculty and staff wearing ϳԹ apparel any Friday have the option to “dress down” with jeans or casual pants (no sweatpants, leggings or pajama pants) and appropriate footwear. Fans are also encouraged to wear their new shirts or favorite ϳԹ gear to the football team’s first home game on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at DiSanto Field.
TJ Shelton, the James C. Wyant Director of Athletics and Chair of Physical Education, said wearing the school’s colors and logos is a simple yet powerful way to build camaraderie and celebrate what makes the university special. “I'm a firm believer that having a spirited, engaged and passionate campus community will enhance the overall college experience.”
Blue ϳԹ Fridays started as an initiative of the university’s Spirit Committee, and has since garnered significant support from the Department of Physical Education and Athletics, University Marketing and Communications, and the Division of Student Affairs.
“Blue ϳԹ Fridays are a vibrant celebration of our school spirit,” said Vice President for Student Affairs Travis T. Apgar. “Let’s all come together, represent our colors and make each week fun!"
