The Montgomery News: Joy Bostic, director of African and African American Studies and an associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, was a part of a virtual panel in Pennsylvania discussing aspects of race and racism. Bostic encouraged participants to become involved by following activists and learning more about the Black Lives Matter movement—as well as to seek dialogue with local organizations and to consider courses offered at community colleges. “Get out there and use all your resources,” she said.
