Religious studies' Deepak Sarma discusses myths related to eclipses

ideastreamDeepak Sarma, professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed myths surrounding eclipses, including the story of Rahu, a Hindu celestial deity who ate the sun in a fit of rage. With no body, Sarma said Rahu had to spit out the eclipse, making the world bright again.
