Members of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community are invited to participate in a learning journey to increase the shared understanding of racial inequities that impact health, and to discuss strategies to promote a more equitable society.
The event, titled Racial Equity Institute Groundwater Training, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Wolstein Research Building auditorium.
Faculty, researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, social workers, community partners, trainees and students are encouraged to attend.
Attendees will:
- Be informed about their catchment area, disparities and/or community-based research;
- Learn how structures (e.g. health care, education) lead to inequities;
- Build better community-academic collaborations;
- Improve patient and community engagement; and
- Be a part of our institutional transformation.

The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center's Office of Cancer Disparities Research and the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods will host the event.
