Angela Ciccia, associate professor of psychological sciences, recently had an article published in the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s publication, Leader.
Her article, titled “,” addressed how school- and hospital-based speech language pathologists can coordinate when a child has a traumatic brain injury.
Ciccia identified several approaches speech language pathologists can take to help children in recovery from such injuries, including identifying a protocol, remaining in contact and monitoring symptoms and progress.
