"Conflict Management & DiSC"
Tuesday, Aug. 7
After reviewing what DiSC is, participants will discover how the styles might view and approach conflict differently. With this understanding, they will practice adapting their behavior to deescalate conflict and make it more productive.
Emotional Intelligence IV—"Managing Emotions"
Wednesday, Aug. 8
In this session, participants will learn how emotions affect and influence what we think about and how we think. Being able to harness that information has shown to be an important element of performance. Participants will explore how they can more effectively manage various emotional states for increased effectiveness.
"Evaluating Performance"
Tuesday, Aug. 14
In this skill-based workshop, participants will learn about and practice all components of performance management including setting clear expectations, feedback, and evaluating performance.
"The Resilience Advantage"
Wednesday, Aug. 22
In this workshop, participants will learn what "resilience" means and how to create more of it. It takes more than intention; too much stress impacts thinking and performance and creates suboptimal conditions. Understanding how to manage that space means a healthy, more productive person.
Using the science of HeartMath, participants will learn about the role the heart and brain play and how to respond differently to stressful situations.
Supervisor Orientation

The New Supervisor Orientation is a day-long series of workshops offered every month aimed at providing new ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø supervisors with the skills and knowledge necessary to start their new roles successfully. The orientation is the first part of a year-long new supervisor onboarding process that includes monthly networking lunches, trainings and more. All staff and faculty who have started their first ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø supervisory role within the last 12 months are welcome to attend, whether or not they have previous supervisory experience (including external hires, internal hires and internal promotions).
"Improving Your Time Management"

In this highly customized workshop, participants will first complete an online self-assessment to generate a personalized report that gives them feedback on their skills in 12 different areas associated with managing time effectively.
Participants will explore various tools and techniques that can be used to increase organization and effectiveness.
