Lamis Associate Professor in American Politics in the Department of Political Science, weighed in on an upcoming Supreme Court case challenging a long-standing federal law barring domestic abusers from possessing firearms, noting that he can envision a scenario in which justices uphold the statute in a way “that doesn't have much of an effect on how (precedent) is interpreted and applied moving forward.”
