Science News: Distinguished University Professor Glenn Starkman, co-chair of the Department of Physics, explained new discoveries about the shape of the universe. The universe is generally believed to have trivial topology, but that’s not known for certain, according to Starkman and co-researchers. That asymmetry is “one of the biggest new mysteries about the universe that hasn’t gone away,” he said.
