Join ϳԹ School of Medicine for a special event titled “Passion & Promise: Family Physicians Making a Difference.”
The free event will take place Saturday, Aug. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Samson Pavilion at the . Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Presented as the 2023 Dr. Edward C. and Diane White Lectureship in Family Medicine, this event will feature a dozen family medicine physicians who are making a difference, all while balancing their personal and professional lives.
They will share their experiences in a range of fields as:
- Public health leaders, policy advocates and health system executives;
- Experts in sports medicine, correctional medicine, women’s health and global health; and
- Researchers, educators and media professionals.
The program will include a brief overview by family medicine department chairs Chrissy Alexander, Donald Ford and Goutham Rao, and Center for Community Health Integration Director Kurt Strange.
