Participate in plant-based nutrition classes

Benefits-eligible faculty and staff members can participate in upcoming health and wellness courses on “Plant-Based Nutrition for Disease Prevention: The Why, the How and the Wow.” The Wellness Program at ϳԹ will sponsor the series, which counts toward the Nutrition Program Incentive. The following classes are included in the series: Overview: Health Care is Self Care—Plant-based Nutrition for Disease Prevention Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1-2 p.m. The Ending of Heart Disease Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1-2 p.m. How to Shop, Read Labels and Eat Plant-based Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Hands-On MYO Plant-based Cooking Workshop, Cooking Demo and Samples Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1-2 p.m. This course will be based on The Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease Cookbook and No. 1 New York Times bestseller, My Beef With Meat. Lunch to Launch 7-Day Challenge with Tips and Tricks for a Successful Week Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Plant-based Pot Luck and Community Support Resource Discussion with Challenge Biometric Results Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1-2 p.m.
