NLN Vision Statement on the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinations

The National League for Nursing (NLN) has published a new vision statement providing guidance for nursing educators on the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinations.

Ronald L. Hickman Jr., chair of the Ruth M. Anderson Professorship and the associate dean for research at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, is a member of NLN's 2021 Strategic Action Group and a contributing author of its vision statement, .

The statement addresses the issue of equity of allocation and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinations, and creates a model for potential management of any future pandemics and disasters.

A leading professional organization for nurse educators, the NLN offers professional development, teaching resources, research grants, testing services and public policy initiatives to 45,000 individual and 1,100 institutional members.
