Members of the ϳԹ community are invited to attend tonight’s opening of a new weekly summer concert program, . Featuring genres ranging from folk to blues to jazz and punk, the open-air series will run from 6 to 9 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 28 at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road.
Tonight’s act is and the Lost High Rollers, featuring an Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter known for country, folk and Americana tunes. Formerly from the Pacific Northwest, Muth has been called “Seattle’s Emmylou.” She released her third full-length album, , in May, and is amid a five-month tour of the United States and United Kingdom.
Next Thursday’s performers, meanwhile, are the Bobby Selvaggio Quintet, followed by blues from Thaddeus Anna Greene on July 24. Cleveland’s legendary presents the acts, while deejays from ϳԹ’s campus radio station, will serve as on-site emcees. For the summer’s full lineup, please visit the series’ .
Visitors will experience more than music; they’ll also be able to enjoy food trucks and a series of specials from Uptown establishments. Tonight’s cruising culinary collection includes , , and .
, for example, offers $3 off its regular $8 admission after 5 p.m. on Thursday. hosts happy hour yoga from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Thursdays, charging just $5 to participate. Meanwhile, offers $5 wraps all day, and provides a full happy hour Thursday evenings. Finally, welcomes customers to see its new fall collection.
