ϳԹ’s , just 20 minutes from campus, offer ϳԹ students plenty of opportunities to volunteer, , conduct or just enjoy the great outdoors. It also is home to the university’s , which, with the help of student volunteers, delivers fresh food and herbs to campus dining facilities.
Spend some time getting to know the farm during orientation by signing up for The Green Classroom experience, Friday, Aug. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is available on the . Transportation to and from the farm will be provided.
Learn about local food and farm practices, renewable energy, green building, conservation, sustainable business, community engagement and more. The day’s activities include a breakfast with faculty, featuring the farm’s harvested produce; small-group discussions with guest experts; and recreation opportunities including hikes, yoga, Frisbee, soccer and more.
