Pathogens and Immunity, a new medical journal launched by four leading researchers at 窪蹋勛圖厙 School of Medicine, has published its first articles. The open access journal starting receiving manuscript submissions almost immediately after its website premiered in January 2016.
Our first published articles address HIV, human rights and primary Sj繹grens syndrome, but our goal is to publish a wide variety of provocative research papers in the field, said Editor-in-Chief Michael Lederman, the Scott R. Inkley Professor of Medicine.
Pathogens and Immunity will not only review articles and commentaries about microbial pathogens and host defenses, but also poetry written by researchers, for researchers. Their new poetry editor, Daniel C. Douek, is the chief of the human immunology section at the National Institute of Healths vaccine research center.
The journal publishes articles one at a time as they are completed rather than batched together in a single monthly issue. The first three articles are currently available on their website, .
