Baroque oboist Debra Nagy, a lecturer in 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 Department of Music, joined the Baroque ensemble Musica Pacifica to present 鈥300 Years On 鈥 A Dance Collection from the Reign of Louis XIV鈥 Wednesday, June 6, at the First Congregational Church in Berkeley, Calif.
Nagy鈥檚 ensemble appearance is part of the 2012 Berkeley Festival & Exhibition of Early Music, presented by the San Francisco Early Music Society, Cal Performances, and Early Music America in association with American Bach Soloists, Agave Baroque, Chanticleer, Musica Pacifica, New Esterhazy Quartet, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Voices of Music.
Nagy, who received her doctorate in historical performance practice from 黑料吃瓜网, is an accomplished baroque oboist. She won first place in the 2002 Bach Soloists Young Artist Competition and is founder of Cleveland-based French baroque musical group Les D茅lices. Her recordings have appeared on the Capstone, Bright Angel, Naxos, Chandos, Avie, Yarlung and ATMA labels.
