The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Advisory Board is accepting funding requests for programming for the 2012 MLK Celebration, “MLK: Honoring His Legacy in a New Era.”
Past co-sponsorships have helped support speakers, films, displays, workshops, receptions, lunches and field trips. Co-sponsorships have ranged from $100 to $2,000.

This year’s MLK Week will begin on the official MLK Day Holiday, Jan. 16. The annual MLK Convocation will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, and will feature noted author, academic and media personality Michael Eric Dyson.
Academic departments, schools and colleges, student organizations and university offices may submit proposals . The deadline for funding requests is Friday, Oct. 28.
