Med's Salil Deo discusses his new study about redlining and cardiovascular emergencies

MarketWatchSalil Deo, associate professor of surgery at the School of Medicine, discussed his new study that found that living in a formerly redlined neighborhood is linked to higher risk of stroke, heart attack and other cardiovascular emergencies. “Our nationwide study demonstrates that a century-old practice like redlining still affects our nation’s health today,” he said.
