NPR: Ryan Marino, associate professor at the School of Medicine, said that police officers cannot overdose on fentanyl by simply touching it, despite repeated news coverage to the contrary. “This has never happened,” he said. “There has never been an overdose through skin contact or accidentally inhaling fentanyl.”
