Med’s Linda Cummings talks about the effects of H. pylori, a common infection

HealthLinda Cummings, associate professor at the School of Medicine, emphasized that while H. pylori is a common infection, only about 1% to 3% of infected individuals will develop cancer. H. pylori increases the risk of gastric cancer and MALT lymphoma, and is more prevalent in low-income areas.
