The Guardian: Ryan Marino, associate professor at the School of Medicine, shared his observations about his patients, some of whom have used cannabis to successfully wean themselves off of opioids while others have tried it unsuccessfully. He said the evidence does not currently support the idea that cannabis could benefit the vast majority of those battling opiate use disorder but said “if it helps one person to not use or not have an overdose, I mean, that’s worth more than any amount of evidence. Honestly, a life saved is a life saved.”
