HealioQian Wang, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, explained the importance of e-cigarette users getting screened for lung cancer. “It is crucial for clinicians to screen for both e-cigarette and traditional combustible cigarette use among patients,” she said. “Patients should be educated about emerging evidence suggesting that e-cigarettes may have carcinogenic effects similar to combustible cigarettes.”
