Science Magazine: Marsha Michie, associate professor at the School of Medicine, weighed in on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s attempts to tighten regulation of certain lab tests to protect against inaccurate results. “There’s no question that regulation imposes additional burden on laboratories,” Michie said, but “the fact that … it takes a little more time and effort to get these things to market is not necessarily a bad thing.”
