Everyday Health: Amy Edwards, associate professor of pediatrics and an infectious disease expert, said that based on available data, the measles outbreak in Texas seems to have ended but cautions that an outbreak could happen again. “I would expect outbreaks like this to happen with increasing frequency in the future, as more parents may opt to forgo childhood vaccination,” noted Edwards.
