Bloomberg: Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law, weighed in on the Supreme Court’s order to allow a House committee to review six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. “Filings by a sitting president necessarily raise larger issues and often implicate unsettled questions of law than do claims by a private citizen who happens to be a former president,” he said. “It should not surprise us that courts are less solicitous of his claims now that he is no longer in office.” |
