WEWS: Cathy Lesser Mansfield, senior instructor in law, discussed emails landing in the inboxes of Northeast Ohio residents claiming award money from FirstEnergy's class action lawsuit settlement. The messages raised red flags. "The problem with it is it's really hard to tell if it's coming from a legitimate sender and if it's really part of the class or if it's some kind of fraud,” she said. “In most cases, these kinds of emails are fraudulent.”
