The Center for International Affairs invites all members of the ϳԹ community to celebrate International Education Week, Monday, Nov. 18, through Friday, Nov. 22.
International Education Week is a national celebration of the benefits of international education and global exchange. Every year during this week, the Center for International Affairs works with partners on campus to provide programming that highlights international activities and opportunities at ϳԹ. The goal is to stimulate cultural understanding and foster an inclusive worldview.
This year’s events include a kickoff with free coffee and snacks, a naturalization ceremony hosted on campus, an opportunity to learn about life in Cuba from a faculty member who calls the country home, as well as a chance to get free passport photos taken and apply for a passport in person. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a public affairs discussion about the Israeli government featuring an emeritus professor.

Binary Walkway
The Center for International Affairs is celebrating the start of International Education Week by handing out free coffee and snacks.
Naturalization Ceremony
Tuesday, Nov. 19
10 to 11 a.m.
Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom C
Join the celebration as immigrants to the U.S. become new citizens in this event hosted by the Center for International Affairs.
Voices from Around the Globe
Wednesday, Nov. 20
4 to 5 p.m.
Kelvin Smith Library Dampeer Room
Learn about life and culture in Cuba from , associate professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Light refreshments will be provided.
Get Your Passport!
Thursday, Nov. 21
3 to 5 p.m.
Tomlinson Hall lobby
Have a free photo ID taken by the Center for International Affairs and submit your passport application with an authorized agent. The Office of Education Abroad will give out one passport scholarship during this event.
