Welcome to Homecoming Week 2011! This annual series of events is coordinated by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership and sponsored by a number of student organizations and departments. The Powderpuff Football Game kicks off the week Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. in Village Stadium, while BlueBash, featuring the Goo Goo Dolls, will take place Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in Veale Center. The Spartan SpiritFest will take place Oct. 14 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Thwing Center atrium. On Saturday, Oct. 15, a 5K race begins at 8:30 a.m., with the homecoming parade beginning at 11 a.m. and the pre-game tailgate kicking off at 11:30 a.m. The Spartan Football game begins at 1 p.m., and a homecoming dance will cap the night from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Anatomy Night Club. Closing out the weekend will be the Stephanie Tubbs-Jones GospelFest on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at John Hay High School. Students, faculty and staff are invited to share in this fall tradition.
