Hear from nationally known speakers at the 2016 Race, Food and Justice Conference

The Social Justice Institute, Environmental Health Watch and Rid-All Green Partnership will host the 2016 Race, Food and Justice Conference, “Analyzing the Urban Food Movement through a Social Justice Lens,” April 21-23. Nationally known speakers and local activists will lead conversations about climate justice, sustainability, gentrification and food justice. The following will give keynote addresses:
  • Julian Agyeman, professor of urban and environmental policy and planning at Tufts University;
  • Elizabeth C. Yeampierre, civil rights attorney and the Executive Director of UPROSE;
  • Dara Cooper, co-founder of The National Black Food and Justice Alliance; and
  • Denzel Austin Thompson, youth activist and creator of Philly's Urban Creators.
