The College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures will present “Good, Clean, Fair: Slow food’s call to action,” an informative talk and discussion with Mary Holmes, chapter leader of Slow Food Cleveland. The event will take place Thursday, Sept. 6, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center's Senior Classroom.

About the speaker

Holmes co-founded the North Union Farmers Market in 1995 and has taught courses at ���ϳԹ��� about the American food system. She has been a co-advisor to the Slow Food on Campus student organization at ���ϳԹ���. Holmes received her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, her master's degree in teaching from Johns Hopkins University and her master of business administration from Harvard University.
