Members of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community are invited to celebrate the opening of the new academic year at fall convocation Aug. 25, at 4:45 p.m. at Severance Hall.
The event will feature speaker Tracy K. Smith, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet whose book Wade in the Water was chosen as ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s 2021 common reading book.
Faculty members receiving the university’s highest honor—Distinguished University Professor—also will be honored during the event.
