WEWS: Bill Yu, the Opal J. and Richard A. Vanderhoof Professor and chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, noted that water main breaks are not completely out of the ordinary in Cleveland, and it's due to the age of the city’s pipes and its constantly changing weather.
