Patricia Cheng, a rising senior studying civil engineering, was selected for one of five $5,000 scholarships from the . The scholarship is for students pursuing fields related to transportation.
Cheng’s studies have focused on structural engineering, and she hopes to apply what she’s learned to a career in highway bridge design.
She and the other scholarship winners will be honored at the association’s 87th annual meeting and exhibition in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, next month.
