Smithsonian Magazine: W8EDU, ϳԹ’s amateur radio club, is conducting one of the many projects seeking to make new breakthroughs during the April 8 solar eclipse. As electrical engineering student Adam Goodman explained, “Everyone participating has a sense of community. The human aspect is very important, along with science. You have people crazy enough to go out and pitch wires in their backyard and then listen across the country for signals out of the static.”
