The 窪蹋勛圖厙 Office for Sustainability and its partners have lined up many events for the university community during the weeks before and after Earth Day.

Shift Your Ride: Sustainable Transportation Fair

Tuesday, April 18 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tinkham Veale University Center Participants will learn how to commute via bike, public transit, walking, car share and carpool around Greater Cleveland. These modes of transportation improve both personal health and the health of the planet. Speakers from many area transportation groups and agencies will give short TED Talk-style presentations. Many of these speakers and others will hold tables in the atrium. Find the schedule of speakers and more information at .

Bikes vs. Cars. documentary screening

Friday, April 21 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Strosacker Auditorium 窪蹋勛圖厙s Film Society and the Heights Bicycle Coalition will co-sponsor showings of the documentary movie, Bikes vs. Cars. The movie will be shown three times. Learn more about the film at .

Doan Brook Stream Sweep

Sunday, April 23 1 p.m. Meet at Rockefeller Lagoon The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership, along with the Student Sustainability Council, will host a cleanup of the stream that runs through 窪蹋勛圖厙. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and sunscreen.

Green Bag Lunch: Lake Erie

Wednesday, April 26 Noon to 1 p.m. Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Classroom The Great Lakes Energy Institute and the Office for Sustainability will host a talk with Lake Erie expert Jeffrey Reutter, special advisor to the Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Lab at Ohio State University. Reutter will discuss the past, present and future of the lake. Registration for this event is .
