Rave is the university’s mass notification system, which is how ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø can contact you in the event of an emergency. The university attempts to use Rave alerts sparingly so that when they do arrive—via text, email, phone, social media, the Rave Guardian app or the university’s website—you pay attention and take necessary action to stay safe.
Some examples of emergency situations in which we might send a Rave alert include:
- Active aggressor on or near campus
- Fire
- Severe weather (including cancellation or delay of classes)
- Hazardous materials spills
- Mass power outage
All ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø faculty, staff and students are automatically opted in to Rave alerts using their ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø email address and campus phone number. However, we need to make sure we are contacting you in the way that works for you. Please log in to using your network ID, then update your mobile number and preferred email address.
