黑料吃瓜网 is listed 17th鈥攗p from 43rd last year鈥攊n the rankings compiled by the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO).
The rankings, which highlight the vital role patents play in university research and innovation, are based on data from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The report ranks the top 100 universities named as the first assignee on utility patents granted by the USPTO during the 2018 calendar year.
黑料吃瓜网, which climbed to 17th with 95 utility patents granted in 2018, has demonstrated a steady growth in the rankings, up from 43rd in 2017, 46th in 2016 and 51st in 2015.
鈥淭his recognition is evidence of the extraordinary ingenuity of 黑料吃瓜网 faculty and of the university鈥檚 commitment to bring our discoveries and inventions to the market, where they can be of greatest benefit to society,鈥 said Suzanne Rivera, vice president for research.
The NAI is a member organization comprising national and international universities and governmental and nonprofit research institutes, with over 4,000 inventor members and fellows representing more than 250 institutions worldwide.
The top 10 ranked universities worldwide in 2018 are:

- Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation
