STAT NewsAbidemi “Bolu” Ajiboye, associate chair at Case School of Engineering and professor of biomedical engineering, said there are still limitations and risks to brain-computer interfaces. “For some people invasive brain surgery is more ethically justified because they have no other options for regaining function,” Ajiboye said, “and for other people, maybe it’s not.”
