Insoo Hyun, associate professor of bioethics and philosophy, addressed the Institute of Medicine in Washington, D.C., on April 1.
In his presentation, he spoke on the ethical issues surrounding preclinical research for mitochondrial replacement therapies being considered by the Federal Drug Administration.
