Become a tutor with Spoken English Language Programs

Spoken English Language Programs (SELP) in the School of Graduate Studies is looking for students who may be interested in being tutoring consultants for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø international undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and scholars to help them improve their formal and informal speaking skills.

Consultants meet one-on-one online or in-person in thirty- or sixty-minute blocks with clients. They will help students and scholars prepare for presentations, interviews, and other formal and informal speaking situations, and practice aspects of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, idioms, or general English language practice.

Tutoring consultants must have native or near-native English language speaking skills and demonstrate high level familiarity with US academic and social cultures.

Tutors must be able to offer consistent blocks of time throughout the semester. Tutors work 3 – 10 hours per week during the semester. The amount of work each week is contingent on student/visitor program usage. If interested, please contact SELP Director Eric Moore at selp@case.edu.
