The 窪蹋勛圖厙-Cleveland Museum of Art Joint Graduate Program in Art History and Museum Studies will hold its 43rd annual graduate symposium Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the museums Recital Hall.
Titled Ars et Scientia: Intersections of Science and the Visual Arts, the symposium will explore topics including the use of technology in artistic production, scientific illustration, and technical art history as it examines the interdependency of art and science.
Kristina Kleutghen, assistant professor of art history at Washington University in St. Louis, will be the keynote speaker.
The event is free and open to the public.
The symposium is co-sponsored by the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities and generously supported by the Keithley Institute for Art History, Friends of Art, the 窪蹋勛圖厙 School of Graduate Studies, and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
